We’re living in an age of unprecedented technological change, and the combination of the latest-generation computers and AI is revolutionizing our understanding of what we can do and how to do it. For companies that are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible—either for themselves or for entire industries—success often relies on the ability to deliver more, better, and faster innovation. The ability to crunch greater quantities of increasingly complex data, improve analysis and visualization, and accelerate outputs is crucial. If you want to prepare your team to thrive in the computationally intense, AI-fueled markets of tomorrow, yesterday’s PC hardware won’t do. New high-powered HP ZBook mobile workstations equipped with Intel neural processing units (NPU) could be the tools that help your power users excel in the future.
To quantify just how much of a difference the latest-generation systems can make, we compared the performance of two new HP ZBook Mobile Workstation PCs to that of their previous-gen predecessors. In the first comparison, we tested a new HP ZBook Power 16-inch G11 with an NPU-equipped Intel Core Ultra 7 processor 165H and its predecessor—an HP ZBook Power 15.6-inch G10 with an Intel Core i7-13800H processor. In the second comparison, we tested a new HP ZBook Firefly 14 G11 with an NPU-equipped Intel Core Ultra 7 processor 165H and its predecessor—an HP ZBook Firefly 14 G10 with an Intel Core i7-1355U processor.
We tested each system with a range of industry-standard benchmarks—some tailored specifically to graphics-intensive and demanding AI inference performance work. In addition, we measured the battery life of both Firefly systems.
In AI, 3D rendering, and content creation performance workloads, the ZBook Power 16 G11 powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor 165H significantly outperformed its 15.6-inch predecessor. Along the same lines, the ZBook Firefly 14 G11, powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor 165H, outpaced the previous G10 model. On top of those performance gains, the Firefly 14 G11 provided almost one-and-a-half hours of additional battery life compared to the G10.
Whether you choose to upgrade to HP ZBook Power 16 G11 or ZBook Firefly 14 G11 Mobile Workstations, our results indicate that your team could benefit from shorter render times, stronger performance for critical AI workloads, and longer battery life with better power efficiency.
